New Car...

So my in-laws went out and bought my daughter a car.  It's a 2000 Ford Focus with 48k miles.  Sounds good right?  I thought so too.... until I found out I have to fly to Florida and drive it back the next day.  I know nothing about this car other than an old lady owned it since it was new.

Now I know all the guys out there are thinking the same thing... You're getting in a car you know nothing about and driving it 700 miles?  Yea, I'm thinking the same thing too.  I'll have a couple of hours to give it a good going over then its "on the road again..."

What makes it worse is that I have been working record overtime lately and I'll be losing about $700 bucks by not working that weekend, not to mention the money the trip will cost.  

I hate these people....

Money to burn...

We've established that my Monster-in-Law spends money like there's no tomorrow, but the latest thing even stumps me...  She has decided that she wants to build an addition on her house.  Now you have to understand that she has a 2600 square foot house that she lives in less than half of the year... by herself!  Now, this project will easily cost from $90 to $120k.  This is a second home people!!!  Words can't describe how much of a waste this is.  She paid too much for the house in 2006, just wasted 30k on new bathrooms (the house is like 5 years old) and now this.  She pouted and cried when I told her it was a bad idea.  Go figure.

Today...

Does your Mother-in-Law ever just show up at your house, uninvited?  Mine pulled that crap today... It seems since we didn't hand over her Mothers Day card soon enough, she just shows up, bangs on the door and says "I was in the neighborhood and I thought I would save you the trouble of mailing my card".  Then, she proceeds to open it and gets pissed because there's no money in it.  WTF???  She is nothing but a spoiled brat that gets everything handed to her by her whipped husband of 45 years.  She's never worked a day in her life and blows her 90k annual allowance on garbage that a bag lady would give away.

Anyway, hopefully we won't have to see her for at least 24 hours.
